Enjoy Summer in Vero Beach
Even with the heat, there are plenty of things to do to enjoy summer in Vero Beach. Perhaps the most active month is July. Not only is the USA having its birthday, so is Vero Beach. In this centennial year, the City of Vero is 100 years young. Even cooler, is I have been appointed Ms. Vero Centennial. Take part in the 4th of July festivities at Riverside Park. Your favorite movers at White Glove Moving & Storage is an in-kind sponsor for the event. From 3-10pm, there will be lots of food, fun, vendors and an outstanding fireworks show. Best part, it is completely sequenced to music. Plan to bring your chairs and have fun! As a side note, it is also my birthday month; half way to 40 folks!
Another great part about summer is delicious salads and chilled wines! Check out the Blue Star in downtown Vero Beach for an incredible watermelon and feta, arugala salad. Pair it with her 2017 MonteGrux rose; it is sensational! As icing on the cake, take advantage of Chef Kitty’s free wine summer promo. With the order of two entrees or four appetizers, guests can choose a bottle of a special list to enjoy at no cost. Another great option is the peaches and burrata at the newly renovated Citrus. Best part, it pairs perfectly with a glass of prosecco that balances out the vanilla balsamic. Across from Orchid Island Brewery, the Polo Grill has salads to go. These shaker salads are lots of fun and come in five different flavors. Another great option, grab a cold bottle of their crisp, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc; yummy! Headed into north county? Be sure to visit the Crab Stop. Their Mrs. B’s blackened shrimp salad paired with a fresh berry sangria is a must. Plus, you can sit outside and enjoy panoramic views of the Inlet.
